1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using Racecourse Fantasy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.

2. About Racecourse Fantasy

Racecourse Fantasy is a fun, independent passion project created for horse racing fans who enjoy fantasy competitions.

The website is intended to provide an enjoyable and social way to follow selected Group and Listed races during the spring racing period.

Racecourse Fantasy is not currently operated as a commercial betting, gambling, advertising, sponsorship or prize-based service.

3. Eligibility

To use Racecourse Fantasy, you must:

• Provide accurate registration information.
• Keep your account details secure.
• Take responsibility for activity under your account.
• Follow these Terms and the competition rules.

4. User Accounts

Each person may create one account only.

You must not:

• Create or operate multiple accounts.
• Share your account with another person.
• Access another user's account without permission.
• Provide false or misleading account information.

Racecourse Fantasy may suspend or remove accounts that breach these rules.

5. Competition Format

Racecourse Fantasy is a horse racing fantasy competition based on selected Saturday races in Victoria and New South Wales during the spring racing period.

• Each player selects 10 horses per round.
• The salary cap is $2,500,000.
• Each team must have one captain.
• The captain scores double fantasy points.
• Teams reset at the beginning of each round.
• There are no weekly trade limits.
• Each person may enter one team only.
• Melbourne and Sydney races form part of the same round.

6. Eligible Races

Only the following race grades are eligible:

• Group 1
• Group 2
• Group 3
• Listed

Benchmark races, maiden races, class races, trials and other races below Listed level are not included.

7. Team Lockout

Team selections lock at the scheduled start time of the first eligible race in the round.

After lockout, players cannot change their horse selections or captain.

8. Scoring

Fantasy points are awarded according to finishing position and race grade using the official Racecourse Fantasy scoring table.

The nominated captain receives double the fantasy points awarded to that horse.

Racecourse Fantasy may correct scores or rankings if an error is identified.

9. Official Race Results

Fantasy scoring is based on the official finishing order used by Racecourse Fantasy on the day of the race.

Later changes, appeals, disqualifications or amended results may not be applied after fantasy scores have been published.

Dead heats receive the full fantasy points for the relevant finishing position.

10. Scratchings, Non-Finishers and Abandoned Races

• A horse scratched before lockout may be replaced before the round locks.
• A horse scratched after lockout receives zero fantasy points.
• Non-finishers receive zero fantasy points.
• Abandoned races receive zero fantasy points.
• Cancelled meetings receive zero fantasy points.
• If only part of a meeting is completed, only eligible races that were run will count.

11. Horse Prices

Horse prices may increase or decrease based on performance in the horse's most recent eligible race.

• The minimum horse price is $30,000.
• There is no maximum horse price.
• A horse not entered in an eligible race is unavailable for selection.
• A horse's price remains unchanged when it does not compete in an eligible race.

12. Rankings and Leaderboards

Racecourse Fantasy publishes round rankings and an overall season leaderboard.

A player's total score is the combined total of their round scores during the competition period.

Racecourse Fantasy may correct leaderboard errors when necessary.

13. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Attempt to hack, disrupt or damage the website.
• Use bots, scripts or automated systems to enter teams.
• Attempt to manipulate fantasy scores or rankings.
• Upload malicious code or software.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
• Use the website for unlawful activity.

14. Fantasy Competition Only — No Gambling

Racecourse Fantasy is a fantasy sports competition provided for entertainment purposes only.

Racecourse Fantasy is not a wagering, betting or gambling service. The website does not accept bets, provide betting markets or offer gambling products.

Information provided through Racecourse Fantasy is not gambling, betting or financial advice.

15. No Entry Fees or Prizes

Participation in Racecourse Fantasy is currently free of charge.

Racecourse Fantasy does not currently provide cash prizes, physical prizes or other rewards for participation or performance.

If prizes or promotional competitions are introduced in the future, separate terms may apply.

16. No Sponsorships or Advertising

Racecourse Fantasy is currently operated as an independent fantasy sports platform.

Racecourse Fantasy does not currently display paid advertising, sponsored content or commercial endorsements.

If advertising, sponsorships or commercial partnerships are introduced in the future, these Terms may be updated.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Racecourse Fantasy name, branding, website design, scoring system, text, graphics and other original content belong to Racecourse Fantasy.

You must not copy, reproduce or distribute our original content without permission.

18. Third-Party Services

Racecourse Fantasy uses third-party providers for services such as authentication, database hosting and website hosting.

Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

19. Website Availability

We aim to keep Racecourse Fantasy available and operating correctly, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.

The website may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security issues, hosting outages or other events outside our control.

20. Limitation of Liability

Racecourse Fantasy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Racecourse Fantasy is not responsible for losses caused by website downtime, technical errors, loss of data, inaccurate information, scoring errors or interruptions to the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

21. Suspension or Termination

Racecourse Fantasy may suspend or terminate an account where a user breaches these Terms, competition rules or applicable law.

We may also remove content, correct results or take other reasonable action to protect the competition and its users.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Racecourse Fantasy after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

23. Contact
